What's happening this fall in Colorado

Cooling temperatures and changing landscapes set the mood for many exciting festivals throughout the state. The vernal equinox kicked off the fall season on Monday, September 22nd, which runs to Sunday, December 21, 2025.

Annual festivals celebrate the changing of the seasons and fun fall holidays. We've rounded up our favorite festivals here.

There are still a few Oktoberfests happening into early October.

It's also leaf-peeping season in early fall, and Halloween festivities are happening through October.
